People often ask what landscape contractors do in the winter. We design, plan and schedule for the upcoming season, meet with new clients and attend educational classes and seminars. In the enhancement division we also pre-order many of our annual plants and place specialty orders for our clients.
One of our favorite times is when we receive our catalog from Swan Island Dahlias! With almost 60 pages of Dahlias to choose from there is something for everyone’s taste and garden style.

Dahlias are easy to grow in our hardiness zone (6a/6b) but they do need to be lifted and stored for winter so they can be replanted the following year!
