The Todd Group, Inc. is a collaborative landscape design-build team of designers, project managers, and craftsmen, specializing in high-end projects throughout NJ, NYC, the Hudson Valley and beyond We are looking for an Accounting Manager to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities. Accounting Manager responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information. We are also looking for someone to work closely with our financial management team.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

– month and end-year process (W2 & 1099 forms supervision)

– monthly bank reconciliations (add credit card reconciliations)

– accounts payable/receivable, cash management, job cost & payroll supervision

– general ledger (account analysis and reconciliation)

– quarterly payroll and sales tax filing (forms 941, 940, WR-30, NJ 927)

– weekly cashflow forecasting

– revenue and expenditure variance analysis

– capital assets reconciliations (Vehicles/Equipment)

– accounts payable check runs (delete-included in A/P)

– debt service monitoring (debt monitoring)

Monitorand analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements

Establish and monitor proper accounting methods, policies and principles

Coordinate and complete annual insurance audits (and renewals)

Financial reporting with recommendations on fiscal savings

Improve systems, procedures and initiatecorrective actions

Assign projects and direct staff of 2 to ensure compliance and accuracy

Meet financial accounting objectives

Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions, record keeping activity

Participate in Development of Annual company financial forecast models and report on Actual vs. Forecasted results

Qualifications:

Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager

Computer skills on MS Office, Sage300 CRE, QuickBooks a plus

Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

High attention to detail, accuracy and able to meet deadlines

Ability to direct and supervise
